Roncon is an overseas Chinese-funded enterprise invested and built in New Zealand by Chongqing Tianlong Real Estate Development (Group) Co., Ltd., one of the top 50 real estate development enterprises in Chongqing China, mainly engaged in hotel reconstruction and management in New Zealand.
In 2009, the company successfully acquired the ownership of Boulevard Hotel Newmarket for US$3.4 million. Then, at the end of 2009, due to the gradual recovery of the global economy and the improvement of the investment environment, we are more confident to be involved in the development of overseas hotel business, once again in Alpers Ave Newmarket Auckland, a prosperous business district, spent $25 million to buy a 17579m2 gold plot for apartment construction. It is expected to build a luxury five-star hotel in New Zealand that combines tourism, leisure and Chinese characteristics.
After several design projects, the project was restarted in December 2015. The project name is ‘The Alpers Village’. The project covers an area of about 21,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 60,000 square meters and a saleable area of about 45,000 square meters. There are about 600 units. Now that the design of the building plan has been basically completed, it is expected that the Auckland City Council will be re-approved for final planning approval in Jun 2019, and the building consent will be approved in October of the same year. Now Roncon has determined that the start of the project is scheduled for December this year (based on the current report and the feedback from the architecture), as the project is fully invested by Chongqing Tianlong Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. The company's accumulated investment has reached 60 million US dollars, and it is estimated that there will be 200 million US dollars in follow-up investment. The total investment of the project is 260 million US dollars, and the total construction period is expected to be 4 years.
